Use multiple assigned references in the same image when the shot calls for the group performing together.
Build an AI Music Video With a Recognizable Band Cast
Assign each character reference to a permanent musical role, then use that cast in full-band images, individual player features, performance scenes, or a lyric-driven story without losing who plays what.
Tell the storyboard who every performer is
A list of reference images is not enough. Band Cast attaches each selected identity to a named role so scene direction can distinguish the lead vocalist from the guitarist, bassist, drummer, backup vocalist, DJ, or custom instrumentalist.
Cut to a recognizable guitarist, drummer, vocalist, or custom player while preserving the instrument assignment.
Add the band to a normal lyric-driven storyboard without forcing every scene onto a stage or disabling the story direction.
Assign the people before Story AI writes the scenes
Select the lead character
Choose the main performer from your character gallery. When one character is already attached, Band Cast can use that selection as the lead vocalist.
Assign supporting roles
Choose references for guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, saxophone, backup vocals, DJ or producer, and any custom instrument you add.
Choose story or stage direction
Use Band Cast with the normal story workflow, or choose Band Stage Performance when you want a generated stage environment to remain the project's main performance world.
Review every scene
Check that group scenes include the right references and that featured players remain attached to their assigned instrument. Regenerate individual scenes that drift.
Band Cast is not the same as a stage theme
Generative images can still drift when several identities, instruments, poses, and locations share one frame. Review the image storyboard before animation and correct individual misses.

Band Cast FAQs
Can several band members appear in one scene?
Yes. Group performance scenes can use multiple assigned references, while other scenes may feature one player more prominently. The project should still be reviewed for identity and instrument accuracy.
Can I add an instrument that is not in the preset list?
Yes. Add a custom instrument or another instance of a preset role, then assign a character reference to that specific position.
Does every scene need the entire band?
No. A music video benefits from a mix of full-band shots, vocalist shots, instrument features, and story moments. The assignments keep each visible performer connected to the correct role.
Build the band before the first scene is written.
Attach recognizable performers, assign the instruments, and let the storyboard use the right people in the right moments.
