Your Light Found Me (test copy)

Lyrics

The room was cold before the morning
Rain was falling on the glass
I was carrying a thousand questions
Wondering how long this night would last
Then I opened up the pages
Found your promise shining through
In the silence of that moment
I remembered I belong to you
Jesus, you were closer than I knew
Even in the darkness
I could feel you
Your light found me in the rain
Your love called me by name
When my world was falling apart
You were holding my heart
Now I'm out with the hands that care
I bring hope to those in despair
Every step, wherever I go
Your light will shine through me
On the stairs I saw a neighbor
Carrying more than she could bear
So I stopped and reached to help her
With a little love and care
Then I sat beside a stranger
Who had lost the strength to smile
And I saw your love was reaching
Through a moment, through a light
Jesus, you were closer than I knew
Now I see your love in all I do
Your light found me in the rain
Your love called me by name
When my world was falling apart
You were holding my heart
Now I'll be the hands that care
I'll bring hope to those in despair
Every step, wherever I go
Your light will shine through me
From the darkness to the sunrise
From the silence to the song
You have given me a reason
To keep loving, to keep going on
Every heart is seen by heaven
Every soul is worth your grace
And the hope you planted in me
Will shine in every place
Your light found me in the rain
Your love called me by name
Now the night is fading away
And your mercy remains
I will walk in your love
With my eyes on things above
Till the stars light up the sky
Your hope will never die
You were there when I was broken
You are here, You'll always stay
Jesus, You are my forever hope
You will never fade away
